Microsoft Certification and Software Testing at VeriTest
Welcome to the Microsoft Certification Labs at VeriTest. We’re here to help developers prepare, test, and retool their applications to meet the requirements of many Microsoft third-party product certification programs, as well as earn points for the Microsoft Partner Program.
Each test has its own instructions and contact information. We understand that our clients operate on tight deadlines and sometimes need special handholding. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at any point in the process. It’s our job to make this easy.
You’ll notice that we also offer “pre-certification” for some programs—a service that provides a quick check of major issues and just-in-time consulting before the official test, so you can fix issues upfront and glide through.

Programs for the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems
Each of these programs offers independent software vendors (ISVs) a way to assure their customers of high quality and interoperability. Each is officially authorized by Microsoft, and most allow ISVs to earn Partner Points that will help them qualify for membership in Microsoft's Partner Program.
Microsoft Platform Test for ISV Solutions
Passing this test helps Microsoft ISV Partners with software applications that run on Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP achieve the ISV/Software Solutions Competency of the Microsoft Partner Program, and earn Microsoft Partner Points from the test of their product. (10 partner points per component)

Passing this test helps Microsoft Partners with hosted solutions that run on Windows Server 2003 achieve the ISV/Software Solution Competency in the Microsoft Partner Program, and earn Microsoft Partner Points from the test of their product. (10 partner points per component)

Designed for line-of-business and mission-critical applications, this program identifies applications that have been independently tested to meet the highest technical bar for stability, security, reliability, availability, Windows fundamentals, and platform compatibility.

Programs for Microsoft Dynamics Applications
Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics
Having your solution pass testing with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, or Microsoft Dynamics SL, helps your company to earn the ISV/Software Solutions Competency of the Microsoft Partner Program. Additionally, passing the product test on Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0, Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, or Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 also meets one of the certification requirements for solutions to be "Certified for Microsoft Dynamics". (20 or 30 partner points)

Designed for Windows Mobile / Mobile2Market Application Certification
This program was developed by Microsoft to help end-users easily identify Pocket PC and Smartphone applications that were designed specifically for Windows Mobile devices. (20 partner points)
*These tests incorporate the Windows Server component of the Platform Test for ISVs, so passing applications gain an additional 10 points for the platform component.
VeriTest and Microsoft
As a completely independent organization, VeriTest plays a unique role in this testing process. Microsoft receives no part of the fees paid to VeriTest. In many cases, vendors can request a test without the knowledge of Microsoft and will receive test results in strict confidence.
